Choosing a Phone System for Your Moving Company
MoveRight integrates with five different phone platforms. This guide breaks down every option — pricing, AI features, how deep the integration goes, and which one we recommend for most operators.
Why your cell phone isn't enough
Most moving company owners start with their personal cell number. It works — until it doesn't. Customers call at 11pm. Former employees know the number. You can't see which leads actually called back. You can't hand it to a dispatcher without giving out your personal phone. And when you try to sell the business someday, there's nothing to hand over.
A dedicated business phone system solves all of that. But more importantly, when it's connected to MoveRight, every call and text is automatically logged to the right job. Your team sees the full conversation history. Bee AI reads the transcripts and suggests follow-up actions. No one needs to copy-paste notes into the CRM.
Auto-logs to every job
Calls, SMS, recordings, and transcripts all appear in the job timeline automatically — no manual notes.
Bee AI reads the calls
MoveRight's AI reads transcripts to suggest follow-ups, schedule callbacks, and flag priority leads.
Full call analytics
Track call volume, answer rates, and response times right in MoveRight's marketing analytics dashboard.

Bee AI turns every call into action
No matter which phone system you choose, MoveRight's Bee AI layer works on top of it — reading call transcripts, generating briefings, and taking action so your team doesn't have to.
Pre-call briefings
Before an agent picks up an autodialed call, Bee AI reads the job and speaks a briefing: move addresses, job type, contact history, and any open items. Agents are prepared before the customer says hello.
AI-powered inbound routing
When your business number rings (via Twilio), Bee AI determines which agent, department, or action to trigger based on the caller's job stage — no manual IVR menu updates needed.
Auto-scheduled follow-ups
After reviewing a transcript, Bee AI can schedule a callback at the optimal time, post a reminder to the agent, or send an automated SMS follow-up — all without human intervention.
Smart autodialer with deduplication
MoveRight's autodialer enforces configurable minimum intervals between dials (default 5 min) and checks business hours before firing — Bee AI decides the right moment automatically.
Avoca AI speed-to-lead
For new leads, MoveRight optionally integrates with Avoca AI — an external AI calling agent that dials new leads within seconds and qualifies them before passing to your team.
Transcript analysis + job tagging
Bee AI reads call transcripts from any integrated dialer and can tag jobs (e.g., "interested but needs quote", "ready to book", "went with competitor") to keep your pipeline accurate.
Quo (formerly OpenPhone) is a modern business phone system built for small and growing teams. It recently raised $105M and rebranded from OpenPhone to signal a bigger vision — blending VoIP, SMS, and AI into one clean app. Every plan includes their Sona AI agent, which answers calls 24/7.
Ideal for: Owner-operators and small teams (1–15 agents) who want a no-fuss setup and AI-powered calling without enterprise pricing.

- – No screen pop (no automatic browser pop-up opening the job on inbound ring)

- – No real-time call monitoring or whisper/barge features
- – Sona AI credits limited — heavy call volume requires paid credit packs
Quo hits the sweet spot for most moving company owners: affordable, AI-native, and deeply integrated with MoveRight. If you're not using a business phone system yet, start here.
Dialpad is an AI-first cloud communications platform built around its proprietary Dialpad AI engine. Every call is transcribed in real time. It offers VoIP, contact center, and sales dialer products. The MoveRight integration is the most feature-complete of all supported dialers.
Ideal for: Teams of 5–50 agents who want a full-featured contact center experience — screen pop, call dispositions, contact sync, and AI transcripts — without switching to an enterprise platform.

How MoveRight integrates with Dialpad
★ Most feature-complete integration
- Screen pop: when a call rings in Dialpad, your browser automatically opens the matching MoveRight job page
- Contact sync: MoveRight customer data (name, company, job URL) is pushed into Dialpad contacts on every inbound ring
- Full call lifecycle events: ringing, calling, connected, hold, hangup, voicemail all post to the job timeline
- Dialpad AI transcripts are fetched after each call and posted as a formatted threaded comment with a share link
- Call dispositions trigger MoveRight automation rules (e.g., auto-tag job as "left voicemail", "call back requested")
- Callback/autodialer: MoveRight can enqueue callbacks directly via Dialpad's Call Center API
- Outbound and inbound SMS synced to job threads
- Webhooks are auto-created and auto-deleted when you toggle the integration on/off
AI features
- Dialpad AI: real-time call transcription with speaker labels on every call
- AI-suggested next actions during live calls
- Sentiment analysis — see caller mood in real time
- Post-call AI summary and action items
- AI CSAT scoring (contact center plans)
- Call coaching: AI flags moments to review
Strengths
- + Screen pop opens the correct MoveRight job instantly when phone rings — zero lookup time
- + Call dispositions + rules engine: automate CRM actions based on call outcomes
- + Contact sync keeps Dialpad and MoveRight in perfect alignment
- + Best-in-class AI transcription (trained on billions of minutes of audio)
- + Full OpenAPI v2 SDK — robust and reliable integration
- + Local presence dialer (Pro+) improves answer rates from unknown numbers
- + Call recording and analytics dashboard built in
Limitations
- – More expensive than Quo for comparable feature sets ($25+/user vs $23/user)
- – More complex to set up — requires configuring call centers, ring groups, webhooks
- – Screen pop requires installing the Dialpad Chrome extension on each agent's browser
- – Contact center features (queuing, monitoring) require Enterprise plan
- – Mobile app experience is not as polished as Quo
Dialpad is the power user's choice. If your team needs screen pop to eliminate "who is this?" lookups, and you want call dispositions to automatically fire CRM workflows, Dialpad is worth the extra cost.
RingCentral is the largest cloud communications platform in the world, serving millions of business users. It's a full unified communications suite — phone, team messaging, video meetings, and fax all in one platform. The MoveRight integration focuses on click-to-call, outbound SMS, and presence-based autodialing.
Ideal for: Companies already on RingCentral who want to add MoveRight without switching phone systems. Also a solid choice for multi-location operations that need enterprise-grade reliability and compliance.
Pricing
Core
$20/user/mo
Advanced — Recommended
$25/user/mo
Ultra
$35/user/mo
Per user/month (2–20 users). Advanced plan recommended for MoveRight.
How MoveRight integrates with RingCentral
Moderate integration
- OAuth2 authentication: connect your RingCentral account with one click, no API key hunting
- RingOut (click-to-call): clicking "call" in MoveRight rings your desk phone or mobile app first, then connects to the customer
- Agent availability queue: if no agent is available, the call request is queued in Redis and auto-fires when an agent comes online
- Presence monitoring: MoveRight subscribes to RingCentral presence webhooks to know exactly which agents are free
- Inbound SMS: texts to your RingCentral number are captured and threaded into MoveRight job comments
- Outbound SMS: send texts directly from MoveRight job threads via your RingCentral number
- Auto-configuration: connecting your account auto-enables SMS, presence monitoring, and saves your phone number
AI features
- RingCentral AI Assistant: call summaries, transcriptions, and action items (included in all plans)
- Text AI: draft and polish SMS messages with AI
- AI Receptionist add-on: handles inbound calls with natural language understanding
- Video meeting AI: highlights, chapters, and recaps of recorded meetings
- Sentiment analysis (Advanced and Ultra plans)
Strengths
- + 99.999% uptime SLA — the most reliable option in this list
- + Full unified comms: phone + video + team messaging in one platform
- + 330+ integrations available in the RingCentral App Gallery
- + OAuth2 makes setup simple — no copying API keys
- + Enterprise-grade compliance: HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2, PCI
- + Presence monitoring enables smart autodialing when agents are free
- + Ideal for multi-location businesses with centralized IT
Limitations
- – MoveRight integration does not include call recordings or transcripts (yet)
- – No screen pop — agents manually pull up job records
- – No call dispositions or rules engine triggers from RC events
- – Most powerful features locked to Advanced/Ultra tiers ($25–$35/user)
- – Interface can feel heavyweight for a 2–5 person moving company
- – International SMS requires additional configuration
If you're already on RingCentral, stay on it — the MoveRight integration covers the essentials. But if you're starting fresh, Quo or Dialpad give you more value for a moving company specifically.
Talkdesk is an enterprise cloud contact center platform. It's purpose-built for high-volume inbound/outbound call operations with advanced workforce management, quality monitoring, and reporting. The MoveRight integration uses Talkdesk's Studio flow builder to trigger callbacks and send SMS.
Ideal for: Larger moving companies (10+ agents) running a formal call center operation — with ring groups, call routing, workforce scheduling, and quality monitoring needs.
Pricing
CX Cloud Essentials
$75/user/mo
CX Cloud Elevate — Recommended
$95/user/mo
CX Cloud Elite
$125/user/mo
Per agent/month. Enterprise pricing — custom quotes for larger teams.
How MoveRight integrates with Talkdesk
Moderate integration
- Callback autodialer: MoveRight triggers Talkdesk Studio callback flows with customer info, ring group, priority, job URL, and an AI-generated summary
- Configurable max calls limit prevents agent overload during peak times
- Call dispositions: inbound call outcomes trigger MoveRight automation rules
- Rescheduling: if a customer requests a callback, Talkdesk can reschedule and re-trigger MoveRight's scheduler
- SMS: send messages via Talkdesk's flow URL (not direct API — requires Studio flow setup)
- Optional call transcription (configurable per zone)
AI features
- Talkdesk AI Trainer: fine-tune speech recognition on moving industry terminology
- Agent Assist: real-time guidance cards during calls
- Autopilot: AI self-service for common inbound queries
- Quality Management AI: auto-score 100% of calls instead of random samples
- Workforce Management: AI-powered scheduling and forecasting
- Interaction Analytics: topic detection and sentiment across all calls
Strengths
- + Enterprise contact center capabilities: ACD, IVR, WFM, QM all built in
- + Most sophisticated call routing and ring group management
- + AI quality management scores every call automatically
- + Designed for compliance-heavy industries (HIPAA, PCI)
- + Advanced reporting and analytics dashboard
- + Callback integration handles high call volumes without agent overload
Limitations
- – By far the most expensive option ($75+/agent/month)
- – Massive overkill for moving companies with fewer than 10 agents
- – Complex setup requires Talkdesk Studio flow configuration
- – SMS requires building and maintaining separate Studio flows
- – No direct API calls — everything routes through Studio flows
- – Long implementation cycles — not a self-serve product
Talkdesk is built for companies running 10,000 calls a month, not 100. Unless you're operating a multi-location enterprise with a dedicated call center team, the cost and complexity are hard to justify.
Twilio is the cloud communications API platform that powers thousands of apps. Unlike the other dialers, Twilio is NOT an end-user phone app — it's a developer platform. MoveRight uses Twilio as its built-in phone infrastructure, meaning if you need a simple business number with calling and SMS, you may not need a separate dialer at all.
Ideal for: MoveRight customers who want the simplest possible setup: let MoveRight manage your phone number entirely. Twilio is already running under the hood — you just need a Twilio account connected to your zone.
Pricing
Pay-per-use
No monthly seat fee. ~$1/month per phone number + ~$0.0085/min voice + $0.0079/SMS.
Typical moving company: $15–$50/month total (includes phone number + call/SMS volume). No per-seat fees.
How MoveRight integrates with Twilio
★ Native integration — built into MoveRight
- Full IVR: inbound calls route through a customizable phone tree (press 1 for estimates, 2 for your move, etc.)
- AI-powered inbound call routing: Bee AI reads job context to route calls intelligently to the right agent
- Call recording with storage and playback from any job thread
- Real-time transcription: every call is transcribed word-by-word as it happens and posted to the job
- Agent-first conference model: MoveRight rings the agent first, THEN connects them to the customer (no dead air on pickup)
- Voicemail detection and automated voicemail-to-text
- Inbound + outbound SMS fully threaded in job comments
- Auto lead creation: unknown callers automatically become new leads
- Phone number is registered to your MoveRight zone — customers see a consistent business number
AI features
- AI inbound call routing: Bee AI determines which agent or department handles a call based on job stage
- Real-time transcription streams into MoveRight as the call happens
- Bee AI generates pre-call briefings for agents before picking up
- Post-call AI summaries auto-posted to job timeline
- DTMF-driven interactive flows for self-service callers
- Configurable TTS voice for outbound IVR messages
Strengths
- + No separate subscription — just pay per minute/message (usually ~$20-50/month for a typical moving company)
- + Deepest possible integration — MoveRight was built around Twilio
- + Real-time transcription as calls happen, not after the fact
- + Agent-first model: agents hear the customer info read aloud before being connected
- + Full IVR customizable to your business without any third-party apps
- + Auto-creates leads from unknown callers automatically
- + One business phone number for your whole operation
Limitations
- – Twilio is a developer API, not a user-friendly phone app — no softphone, no mobile dialpad UI
- – Agents answer calls through their existing phone (forwarded), not a dedicated app
- – No dedicated agent workspace (no "Dialpad app" experience)
- – Call quality depends on your forwarding number's carrier
- – Not suitable if agents need to make cold outbound calls from a desktop app
- – Requires MoveRight support to configure phone numbers and IVR flows
If you just need a business phone number that logs calls to MoveRight automatically, Twilio + MoveRight is the simplest and cheapest path. It's not a full softphone experience, but it handles inbound/outbound calling and SMS with zero extra monthly fees per seat.
How to choose
If You don't have a business phone system yet:
Cheapest, easiest setup, AI included, full MoveRight integration. You'll be live in 10 minutes.
If You need screen pop + call dispositions + rules engine:
The most complete integration — screen pop opens the job record the moment the phone rings. Dispositions trigger CRM automations.
If You're already on RingCentral:
The MoveRight integration handles click-to-call and SMS. No reason to switch — just connect your RC account.
If You run a formal call center with 10+ agents and WFM needs:
Talkdesk's enterprise contact center, quality management, and workforce scheduling justify the premium at scale.
If You want zero extra subscriptions and a built-in IVR:
MoveRight's native Twilio integration handles calling + SMS for a few dollars a month — no per-seat fees.
Common questions
Can I use more than one phone system at the same time?
Each MoveRight zone (location/franchise) is configured with one active dialer at a time. If you have multiple zones — for example, multiple franchise locations — each can use a different phone system. Some operators use Twilio as a backup while running Dialpad as their primary.
Does switching dialers break my call history?
No. Past call logs, transcripts, and recordings stored in MoveRight job records are preserved regardless of which dialer created them. You can switch from, say, RingCentral to Quo and all historical call data remains intact.
What happens to calls that come in while I'm setting up the integration?
During setup (which takes 5–30 minutes depending on the dialer), you can still receive calls on your existing number. Calls won't be logged to MoveRight until the webhook is active, but no calls are dropped. For Twilio, MoveRight support handles the cutover.
Is Quo's Sona AI agent the same as MoveRight's Bee AI?
No — they're different systems that complement each other. Sona is Quo's built-in AI that answers inbound calls 24/7 on Quo's infrastructure. Bee AI is MoveRight's CRM intelligence layer that reads transcripts, manages follow-ups, and automates job actions. When Quo + MoveRight are connected, Sona handles the call and Bee AI acts on the transcript.
Do I need CallRail if I'm already using one of these dialers?
Not necessarily. CallRail specializes in marketing attribution — tracking which ads, campaigns, and keywords are driving calls. If you run Google Ads or need per-source call tracking, CallRail works alongside your main dialer (they serve different purposes). MoveRight also integrates with CallRail to pull UTM and source data into job records.
How does the MoveRight autodialer decide when to call?
The autodialer (Bee AI) checks three things before dialing: (1) business hours — configured per zone, (2) minimum dial interval — configurable, default 5 minutes between dials on the same job, (3) agent availability — for RingCentral, it checks presence; for Dialpad, it uses the callback queue; for Twilio, it rings the agent first before connecting to the customer. This prevents spam-dialing and dropped calls.
